When you use the Extension, it automatically retrieves the following information from Keka's servers:

• Access Token: Authentication token from your Keka session stored in your browser's localStorage
• Attendance Data: Your check-in/check-out times, attendance records, and punch logs for calculations
• Leave Information: Your pending and approved partial leaves, leave balances, and leave-related data
• Work Statistics: Monthly and daily effective hours, average working time, and related metrics

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

The Extension does NOT collect:

• Personal identification information beyond what is necessary for functionality
• Browsing history outside of Keka domains
• Credit card or payment information
• Passwords or authentication credentials (we only read existing session tokens)
• Analytics or telemetry data about your usage patterns
• Any data from websites other than your specified Keka subdomain

3. How We Use Your Information

The Extension uses the collected information solely for the following purposes:

• Core Functionality: To calculate your expected checkout time based on your attendance data and configured settings
• Display Statistics: To show your current effective working hours, monthly averages, and leave balances
• Time Calculations: To compute remaining work hours required to meet daily or monthly targets
• User Preferences: To store and apply your customized settings for calculations

4.1 Where Your Data is Stored

Your information is stored in the following locations:

• Browser Local Storage: User settings, preferences, and cached data are stored locally within your browser using the browser's storage APIs
• Session Storage: Temporary session data and access tokens are stored in browser session storage
• Keka Servers: Your attendance and HR data remains on Keka's servers; we only read this data via API calls and do not store it permanently

4.2 Data Security Measures

We implement the following security measures:

• All API communications with Keka are conducted over HTTPS encrypted connections
• Access tokens are stored securely in browser storage and are never logged or exposed
• The Extension only requests minimal necessary permissions
• No data is transmitted to third-party servers or analytics services
• The extension follows secure coding practices and minimal permission requirements

4.3 Data Retention

Data is retained only as long as you have the Extension installed and configured. When you:

• Uninstall the Extension: All locally stored data is automatically removed from your browser
• Clear browser data: Extension settings and cached data are cleared along with other site data
• Revoke permissions: The Extension can no longer access your Keka data

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

5.1 Keka API Communications

The Extension communicates directly with Keka's API endpoints on your configured subdomain to retrieve attendance data. These communications are:

Since we don't collect analytics or tracking data, there is nothing to opt out of. All functionality is essential to the Extension's core purpose.

8. Children's Privacy

The Extension is intended for use by employees of organizations using Keka HRMS. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 18. If you are under 18, please do not use this Extension.

The Extension processes data locally in your browser. Any data transmitted to Keka's servers is subject to Keka's own data processing and international transfer policies. We do not independently transfer data across borders.
